AAVS Office would like to call for nominations for the Kei-ichiro Maeda Memorial T&C Award 2026. The award program was established to recognize excellent scientific achievements in the field of veterinary sciences.
The deadline for nominations is February 13, 2026.
Nomination Requirements
- Nominees must be young researchers or students (equal to or less than 40 years of age as of January 1, 2026) with excellent research potential from AAVS active Member Institutions.
- Candidates for the award must be nominated by the Dean or AAVS Representative of his/her Institution.
- The dean or AAVS Representative of the Institution who intends to recommend the award candidates should prepare the application form including the candidate’s name, affiliation, research subject, major research achievements (up to 10 publications), and brief biography, and submit the form with a letter of recommendation signed by the responsible person to AAVS Office (Dr. Takashi MATSUWAKI (amwakit@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) with secretary@aavs.jpn.org in copy) by February 13, 2026.
- The winners of the award must present his/ her work at the annual AAVS Meeting in 2026 (virtually or in person, April 24, Tokyo, Japan, organized by AAVS Office)
- Past award recipients are not eligible for nominations, but non-recipients can be nominated multiple times.
Selection Procedure
Nominations will be reviewed by the Award Selection Committee which consists of a total of five members, including four faculty members of AAVS Member Institutions who are recommended by AAVS Office representatives.
Up to two winners will be selected for the award. Winners will receive a certificate and a monetary reward of JPY 50,000.
The result will be announced in March 2026.
